The Vidharba Cricket Association Ground is a Test cricket ground in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The ground is known as the VCA Ground. The first match was played here on October 3, 1969. The ground has been selected to host 2011 Cricket World Cup matches.
Capacity 40,000 Established 1975 Owner & Operator Vidarbha Cricket Association First Test India v New Zealand – Oct 3-8, 1969 First ODI India v England – Jan 23, 1985 It is one of the two grounds where play was called off due to dangerous pitch conditions.
Sunil Gavaskar scored his only one day century here against New Zealand in the 1987 Reliance World Cup.
