333.3m steep bank concrete velodrome built to similar specifications to the Commonwealth Games track at The Sleeman Centre in Brisbane. The track is fully enclosed and has floodlighting, and the inside of the track is grassed. There is also a warm up area on site, tiered spectator seating and bike racks.

There are various excellent road training facilities in a low traffic area located wihin the vicinity of the velodrome, including Mt Archer, Mt Morgan and the coastal course.
Mt Archer is 607m high and is a 120km course with flat and hilly sections including a 3.2km climb up the mountain.
There is a 100 km circuit from Rockhampton to the coastal town of Emu Park, along the coast to Yeppoon and return via a different route.
The Mt Morgan course travels along the Burnett Highway to the south-west of Rockhampton. The range is 30km from the city and is a 3km climb. From the top of the range, cyclists can return to Rockhampton via a different route or continue onto Mt Archer to complete a 160km circuit via Dululu and Westwood along the Capricorn
